He will discuss the research approach his team took to determine whether the Quality Matters (QM) guidelines and process fit with the needs of the college’s online program, discuss the implementation plans, and provide an update on the college’s progress through 2012. Those who are unfamiliar with QM will receive a brief overview of the system and how colleges can employ it. In 2011, eLearning peers in Washington state formally recognized the Pierce College team approach for its leadership and innovatio.n

Monica Marlo will describe a model of using Google Analytics for tracking the growth of mobile device use for campus networks, and present a brief overview and tutorial of BuzzTouch, a simple mobile platform content generation tool. Using Google Analytics, you can monitor which devices are favored in your digital ecosystem and their rate of adoption, and withBuzzTouch, you can easily create and export device-agnostic mobile experiences to serve your growing pool of mobile device users in your campus communities.

Register Now for NW/MET 2012

Registration is now open for NW/MET 2012. The conference is scheduled for April 22 – 24 in Bellingham, Washington. Our preliminary program includes sessions on Mobile Learning, LMS Migrations, Lecture Capture, Classroom Technologies, Accessibility, Video Conferencing, and the evaluation of new technologies for teaching and learning.

The $200 registration fee covers all meals and includes a visit to the Spark Museum of Electrical Invention as well as a tour of technology facilities at Western Washington University. The conference will be held at the Best Western Lakeway Inn, a comfortable conference hotel conveniently located off of Interstate 5 and near the city center. Hotel rates are $99 US per night by mentioning that you are part of the NW/MET conference. Please complete your registration to the conference by April 5, 2012. The reduced hotel rate is good through March 25, 2012.
